Information You Submit
Search forms send the name, phone number, or address you enter to the outside search provider that supplies results. Our servers do not retain a copy of those searches. When you contact us, we receive the details you decide to provide and use them to answer your message.
Information Collected Automatically
Standard hosting logs may record an IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. Aggregate log data helps maintain the service and show which resources visitors use. Cookies or comparable tools may support basic analytics and advertising measurement where those functions apply.
How the Data Is Used
The limited data described above supports site operations, troubleshooting, traffic measurement, and page improvements. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles.
Privacy on Linked Services
Links may lead to the Town of Los Gatos, Santa Clara County offices, Superior Court, the County Assessor, California agencies, libraries, and outside search tools. Information entered on another service is controlled by that service's privacy policy. Sponsored results are also supplied by an outside company and follow that provider's practices.
Parties That Process Data
Hosting and support vendors process server logs for site operations. Analytics or advertising providers may receive the automatic data noted above. Data may also be disclosed in response to valid legal process; visitor information is not otherwise shared.
Safeguards and Retention
An encrypted connection protects data in transit. Server logs are kept only as long as needed for the stated purposes. Because visitors do not create accounts, this service holds no visitor password or account profile.
Visitors Under Age 18
This service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly gather personal information from anyone under 18. Contact us if a minor has submitted personal data so it can be deleted.
Your Privacy Choices
Privacy rights may include access, correction, or deletion of personal data a website holds, depending on applicable law. Because this service retains very little, a request generally involves checking contact messages and available server logs. Use the Contact page to submit one. California's Privacy Protection Agency administers registered data-broker rules and the Delete Request and Opt-out Platform, known as DROP, for requests directed to registered data brokers.
Government records are different. Records held by Los Gatos, Santa Clara County, the Superior Court, the Assessor, the Clerk-Recorder, or California agencies are outside our control. DROP does not erase official public records. Access to agency records is governed in part by the California Public Records Act, Government Code division 10 beginning at section 7920.000, along with specific confidentiality laws. Correction, restriction, or removal questions must go to the responsible custodian.
Policy Updates
A revised policy will be posted here when changes are made. Using the service after publication of a revision indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
